I am a new member to Wealthy Web Writer. This was the very first article I read to introduce me to Web Strategy. Having owned a website of my own in the past, the information contained within would have been of great benefit to me. It very plainly explains the most important aspect of any strategy… conversion of visitors to sales and how to track them. Thank you.
This thing about web strategy is where I feel a VERY big gap exists in the content that AWAI shares with readers. There has not been a lot of discussion about this topic for a while…to my awareness. When the information is shared, though, I believe that it should describe the topic in such a way that it becomes intuitive for the reader to use. For example, why not explain that in order for a copywriter to get a firm grasp of web strategy development, they must have an understanding of the various tactics available, the purpose of the tactics AND the marketer’s knowledge of their target audience? That’s intuitive to me. You didn’t mention the skillset that a copywriter must have to develop web strategy. Do you feel that a copywriter-marketing strategist must have a readiness in these areas that I mentioned in order to develop web strategy?
You ask some good questions. And I do think that a lot of what you’re asking about is covering on Wealthy Web Writer through a variety of different resources. It’s also covered in the Web Copywriting 2.0 program. On Wealthy Web Writer, most of our articles run 800 to 1200 words, sometimes more, so they do need to keep a tight focus. That sometimes leaves related information to be assumed or pursued through further research, but it would be a good idea to provide related links when that is the case. Thank you for the feedback.
Very useful article! While trying to get my website launched, I’ve discovered that simply being a skilled copywriter isn’t enough – being a skilled copywriter today includes knowledge and use of the strategies covered in the article.
I can’t wait to dig into Web Copywriting 2.0 after completing the Accelerated program to learn the necessary skills. It’s very exciting to think that my website is nearly ready for launch.
Learning and using these web strategies will benefit my own site, and also the sites of future customers!
