Regular Faces on Digital Copywriter

Digital Copywriter is lucky to have a team of regular columnists who cover some of the most in-demand online writing skills — the kinds of skills marketers look for when hiring a freelancer. We also receive contributions on a regular basis from the talented team at AWAI. And we welcome contributions from writers like you.

Heather Robson

Managing Editor / UX Contributor

Heather Robson is the managing editor of Digital Copywriter as well as the editorial contributor surrounding all things user experience related, but primarily UX copywriting.

Heather has worked as a full-time freelance writer and marketing consultant since 2003. During that time, she’s had the pleasure of working with such well-known writers as Clayton Makepeace, Ann Handley, Nick Usborne, Brian Clark, Don Mahoney, and Mark Everett Johnson.

Heather specializes in content strategy and email marketing as well as user experience copywriting. She’s served as the managing editor of this site since 2010. When she’s not writing copy for the web, you’ll find Heather playing soccer, bouldering, cooking, writing novels, or hanging out with her family.

Jen Phillips April

Technology Contributor

Jen writes on the business of freelancing, pets, and hospitality tech for direct clients, agencies, and trade organizations.

A full-time freelance writer and marketing consultant since 2011, she’s enjoyed working with clients from those down the street to others across the world. One of the things she loves about this business is the array of things you get to learn. That’s part of why she enjoys being Digital Copywriter’s lead columnist on technology and trends.

When not writing for the web, you’ll find Jennifer digging her toes into the sand by the Caribbean Sea, reading novels, or salsa dancing.

Zoe Blarowski

Zoe Blarowski

PPC/Ad Media Contributor

Zoe is a certified SEO copywriter and content specialist. She has worked as a full-time freelance writer since 2016 on projects ranging from blogging to copyediting to ghostwriting.

Zoe’s focus is on writing high-quality web content that helps her clients get found on search engines, with an emphasis on positive user experience. She’s also using her content marketing knowledge to build her own soon-to-be-announced blog about the Law of Attraction. Here on Digital Copywriter, Zoe explores the ins and outs of paid social media advertising as well as other pay-per-click advertising channels.

In addition to writing, Zoe is a mom and outdoor enthusiast who loves learning new things. She feels very fortunate to be a digital copywriter because it allows her to have an (almost) perfect work-life balance.

Andrew Murray

Andrew Murray

SEO Contributor

Andrew is a regular contributor to Digital Copywriter. He was the 2019–2020 Reality Blogger and has continued as a freelance writer with Digital Copywriter ever since. Nowadays, he contributes regularly as the lead web content and SEO columnist.

Andrew and his wife, Peta, live full time on the road, traveling through the remote Outback of Australia. They travel, work, and live in their unique 4x4 truck camper… true digital nomads!

Their Outback travel website, Top Wire Traveller, provides them with a partial income. Andrew also writes SEO-optimized content for other businesses (including AWAI) and manages Pinterest business accounts for clients.

What keeps Andrew grounded when he’s not writing? Exploring Australia’s vast, wide-open spaces… learning about the country from members of a culture who have lived in Australia continuously for over 65,000 years… and soaking up the peace, isolation, and solitude of the Outback.
