Great article Candice!
I am learning a lot about SEO and Social Media. It seems that the search engines look at both authority in a site (relevant content) as well as trust. Trust is determined by the amount of social signals a site receives (likes, shares, comments, retweets, etc). It would be unnatural for a high PR (page rank) site to have no social interaction. Both are becoming more and more important to rank a site in 2016.
Thank you, William – I’m glad you enjoyed it. You raise a great point. Everything seems to come back to the whole premise of knowing, liking, and trusting, doesn’t it?
