You reminded me that I opted in to this challenge and I’m feeling I haven’t made the progress I wanted to … yet! SO much to do this time of year! I remind myself to just take it step by step and it will get done. Or not. 🙂
Hi Susan!
I hear you … December is definitely going to FLY by — it’s a little unsettling! But I’m with you on the step-by-step part. We’ll get there, together!
You inspired me to finally set up my FB business page and connect my blog and website. And Janet I loved your FB page. It was nice to see how another freelancer (as opposed to a business) had theirs set up.
Yay! Seeing you guys make such great strides gets me even more pumped up about my own business goals — not so much the writing for others part, but the getting-my-own-stuff-really-going part. I’ll have to check out your FB page soon!!
I thought social media was a pain in the patoot until I found out that many people rely on others to make their decisions — they call it community. I have never done that but if that’s what my readers want, so be it! From now on, I’m linking my website to FB and see if it will work as well for me as all these other folks tell me it works for them. I’ll keep you posted (well-hidden pun).
Ha ha — love the pun!
You made an interesting point — and a good one. I’d like to know how many people actually DO make their business decisions based on reader input versus those who make their readers FEEL like they’re contributing ideas even though the business person already has a plan in mind. It’s likely a balance between the two. I wonder if it’s like a Peer Review — getting input from others only makes your copy stronger, so maybe the same can be said of a business?
Looking forward to hearing your results, Jean!
Best,
Mindy

Thanks for the mention, Mindy! I just follow you!
You’re so sweet. Thanks for being an inspiration right back to me!
