  3. I thought social media was a pain in the patoot until I found out that many people rely on others to make their decisions — they call it community. I have never done that but if that’s what my readers want, so be it! From now on, I’m linking my website to FB and see if it will work as well for me as all these other folks tell me it works for them. I’ll keep you posted (well-hidden pun).

      You made an interesting point — and a good one. I’d like to know how many people actually DO make their business decisions based on reader input versus those who make their readers FEEL like they’re contributing ideas even though the business person already has a plan in mind. It’s likely a balance between the two. I wonder if it’s like a Peer Review — getting input from others only makes your copy stronger, so maybe the same can be said of a business?
