The Reality Blog: 3 Essential Ways To Become More Profitable And Productive

  1. With kids, I’ve found hat boxes to be invaluable when it comes to managing clutter. These can work for office supplies or just about anything. They are pretty and sturdy and they come in different sizes, making them great for storing those little things that are hard to find a place for.

Another habit I’ve picked up along the way is an in-between bin in the garage. This is a place for stuff I don’t really use, but I think I might want to keep. If I put something in the bin and I haven’t needed it for three months, I figure I can do without it and it goes out with the donations.

    Have a great day, Mindy!

  2. My almost 9-year-old has cubbies in her bedroom and she knows what goes where. So, when I ask her to clean up, she simply tosses her stuff in one of the cubbies. We go through them about once a year to clean out.

Of course, it wouldn’t be so difficult if everyone in the family would put things away instead of setting them down for “later.” 🙂

I’ve started what you’re doing, tackling one room at a time. It’s very proactive, and it works.

Have a fantastic day and enjoy those cookies!
