Reality Blog: Four Simple Steps to Getting Started on Twitter

  1. I’m enjoying your Twitter journey Candice, thanks.
I’m finding retweeting relevant content, adding the original Tweeter’s @xxx tag and including at least one of their hashtags in my retweet seems to attract attention. Most of the time I get another follower when I do this.
The other one is tweeting an original image and tagging the organisation in question, e.g. posting an image of Uluru (Ayres Rock) then tagging @TourismNT. Tourism NT then like and retweet the image, which gets me in front of their followers. Also, if I add #Uluru, this sometimes gets me in front of people searching for Uluru.
Having said this, I can’t even pretend to be a Twitter expert. I too am struggling to be consistent!

    1. Hey Andrew, thank YOU – for your follow, likes, and of course for these great tips. I haven’t yet been tagging people in my posts with relevant original content and definitely need to start. It’s still hard to tell how important Twitter will be for my site – but I’m having fun trying to figure it out. See you online! Candice
