I’ll be interested to see how your Twitter experiment turns out. I have 2 accounts – one for my copywriting business and a second for my money-making website (MMW).
I’m finding Twitter is driving more traffic back to my MMW than Facebook. Twitter is more “open” than FB – as you say, you don’t have to be friends to see posts.
And the hashtags are a brilliant way to be noticed instantly by prospects. I look at the hashtags they’re using, then add the same hashtag when posting something relevant. It nearly always gets a positive response from said prospect.
I’m actually thinking of dropping FB and concentrating on Twitter.
I’ll be curious to see how you do with Twitter…I’ve been trying to promote my business Facebook page (BW Freelance Services) on Facebook with very limited success. In general I would agree that social media represent the new growth edge for marketing in general and copywriting in particular.
The article inspired me to get on board with Twitter again. I found it too fast for me when I first started social media a few years ago. I have several accounts; and currently am not using any of them. I may be back to seek help in this project. How can we save your article on this? I am brand new to the Wealthy Web Writer experience and welcome all the help I can get.
Thanks for sharing your article with us.
Thank you all for your comments! I’ll be sure to keep you posted throughout the remainder of the year. Hopefully the experience will be helpful for everyone.
