What a nice piece and eye opener. I am keen at writing about Web Copy. Guide me on how to go about creating my own lead magnet. A template or further guidance will be valuable.
Glad you’ve decided to do this. There are no templates, because this project is completely based on what you want to do and what makes sense for your business. But to dig into the topic more, check out some of the other resources on this site by typing “lead magnet” into the search box. You could also check out other writers’ websites for inspiration.
Thank you for the great advice. Any thoughts on how long a lead magnet should be? I’ve typed up a two page lead magnet. My husband reviewed it (he proofs my copy) and he’s telling me I’m giving too much away??
The length of a lead magnet can really vary depending on how you want to approach it. The question of giving too much away is one that comes up a lot. Generally speaking, a writer can handle between four and six clients at a time, so I don’t worry about giving away the store, so to speak. I figure the DIYers will, and the people who want my services will reach out to hire me. I still may end up with more leads than I can handle! Good luck 🙂
