Somehow I’m picturing you in the middle of East Texas with a satellite dish on an RV. Hope you’re having more fun. Remember, the writer’s life is being able to take “vacation” for an hour or a day now when it matters most vs one big slug of it a week or two at a time. Enjoy the vacation moments of your week.

That’s a good point (you have a knack for those, by the way!). I’m discovering it’s never going to be black and white — so, never just all vacation with no work — especially because when I work I’ll always take more breaks and flex my schedule more than the standard work schedule.
It’s definitely a blessing to have this “problems” like this!
