Mindy, you are a true inspiration. 😉
I just discovered copywriting and feel very much at the point you described when you were starting out and it so comforting to hear I am not the only one feeling this way. 😉 What I really wanted to comment on, though. was your feelings about spending quality time with Quinn and Calla while they´re growing up…I´m an American, living in Germany, and was lucky enough to discover an English language franchise early on and become self-employed teaching my native tongue to small German children when my kids were still quite young. I worked from home, was super flexible and – though I certainly didn´t have the financial benefits I hope copywriting will give me now that my kids are beginning to leave the nest – really, really enjoyed the time I could spend with them being a “full-time mom”(more or less)! Those are worth so much!! But I don´t need to tell you that. 😉
I´ve been following your blog, by the way, and really enjoy your style of writing – it is so absolutely natural!! What a gift! I love the pictures you paint with words and the stories tell. Thanks so much for sharing!
I´m working on getting to where you are soon…and hope to have the chance to say “hi” at bootcamp this fall.
Wishing you many blessed moments with Calla and Quinn!
JanM;)
You absolutely and completely just made my day! Thank you so much for all the kind compliments, and thank you especially for sharing your insight on being a mom. I know this time will just fly by, so it’s incredible to have found something that still gives me a creative outlet but let’s me have all the time I could possibly want with my kids. What a neat opportunity you had in Germany to do that — how wonderful!
Absolutely, please find me at Bootcamp so we can visit — I’ll look forward to it!
I asked that question some time ago- and your response is so eloquent- well worth the wait. One of your most powerful insights into who you are.
The world is better when we each achieve more. What a great focus you have on the important things in life. Poverty and want are not noble things to be accepted. Money gives you the power to change the world for good.
But I did have to laugh when I saw the headline. Made me feel like you thought I was calling you out back then.
Thank you so much for your kind words, as always. I really do appreciate the questions you pose because it forces me to think about seriously important issues that I (too often) just skim the surface of.
I hope you didn’t mind the headline! I certainly didn’t feel like you were calling me out — I just wanted to make sure you saw my response! 🙂 Although only now does it occur to me I could’ve just emailed you to let you know I posted a response …. hmmm.
At any rate, so glad to know you’ll be at Bootcamp! See you then!
The post came to my attention when another AWAIer emailed me about it. Today I see there is a Linkedin post by Rich Bacchus calling me the professional Provoker. I’ll have to nip that in the bud. I pushed back suggesting “Pensive Prober”. Looking forward to seeing what he says.

Hey Mindy,
The post came to my attention when another AWAIer emailed me about it. Today I see there is a Linkedin post by Rich Bacchus calling me the professional Provoker. I’ll have to nip that in the bud. I pushed back suggesting “Pensive Prober”. Looking forward to seeing what he says.
Enjoy the weekend,
Lee
Oh my, you make me laugh! I like the “Pensive Prober” … I’ll have to voice that publicly. 🙂
