Hello there, Wealthy Web Writers… or rather Digital Copywriters!

I hope by now you’ve had a chance to visit our new home at DigitalCopywriter.com, and I’d like to take a moment to highlight a few things I think you’ll like.

On the Digital Copywriter site, when you visit the Resources page, you’ll find two new tutorials there.

The first is all about getting set up and getting active on LinkedIn. If you aren’t yet an active LinkedIn user (or you don’t have a LinkedIn account), it’s one of the easiest ways to make connections, grow your reputation, and start landing clients. This tutorial will walk you through getting your profile set up and give you plenty of tips for making your time on LinkedIn worthwhile.

The second is about finding, approaching, and landing clients. You’ll discover everything from creating marketing assets and building a list of potential clients… to what to put on your professional freelance website… to how to keep your client pipeline full and convert your favorite clients into repeat clients… and more. You can give that a look here.

Next up, in a partnership with Copyblogger, we have three new courses for you to check out.

The first is called “Creative Foundations.” It’s all about getting into a routine of creating great content. You’ll learn about productivity, professionalism, and creativity… and deepen your understanding of content creation and marketing… a valuable skill.

The second is called the “Content Marketing Boot Camp.” Work through five in-depth lessons and learn about drafting, writing faster, proofing and polishing your work, and making your work interesting to read.

The third is called the “Email Marketing Crash Course,” where you can learn how to apply email marketing to your own business for bigger long-term success.

You can find those courses here.

Overall, I hope you’ll love the new site, and I’m looking forward to continuing to bring you the business-building and skill-building content you need for success.

New on the Site

When writing email messages for your clients, one of the most important elements is the subject line. The subject line has to work hard to grab your reader’s attention and convince them it’s worth their time to open it. There are some proven ways to do this and Michele Peterson shares 15 tips and formulas to help you improve your subject lines. Be sure to check it out.

As a digital copywriter, you’re at least one-part marketer. And one thing marketers do really well is recognize opportunities. They find gaps and fill them… identify problems and create solutions. In our latest featured article, Holly Rhoton shares how she put this marketing skill to work in her own town, and how you can copy what she’s done to add a new income stream to your business.

Do you ever feel like you’re working super hard and being very diligent, but you’re just not getting the results you want? Suzanna Fitzgerald found herself in this situation recently, and realized that she might have some mindset work to do. Could be her approach to shifting her mindset is just what you need to start getting better results from your efforts.

Things to Keep an Eye Out For…

Coming up this week, Bonnie Fanning — one of AWAI’s in-house copywriters — shares her strategies for breaking out of a creative rut. Watch for that later today, May 11.

And then tomorrow (the 12th), Andrew Murray — our web content and SEO columnist — explores exactly what cornerstone content is and how you can use it to help bring your clients more success. He’ll even share an eight-step process you can use to write an outstanding cornerstone piece.

Later this month, we’ll be having our first Digital Copywriter Monthly Member Update. In this webinar, we’ll talk about warm emailing as a way to land clients, how it works, and how you can start using it.

Also in the works is our next update with Reality Blogger, Suzanna Fitzgerald. In that one, we’ll be talking about breaking through limiting beliefs and how it can help you reach a new level of success.

Keep on eye on the site. We’ll have dates set soon!

Three Things to Help Your Business

If you struggle with marketing yourself, it might have to do with how you view marketing. Stefanie Flaxman makes a strong case for recognizing the value of what you have to offer and walks you through how to market your services ethically.

Looking for ways to find clients without using social media? One of these five strategies might be a good fit for you.
